Check out some fun Coding resources for kids! Everything linked here is free to use and might work on your devices at home! In December, all Great Falls students participate in the Hour of Code and then continue with the Code.org curriculum through the spring.
Free Coding/Programming Resources to try:
Lightbot
Great for younger students, Lightbot shows you how to program using a robot you teach to turn on the lights. Free website & app for lots of devices. |
Scratch
Developed by MIT, this website uses Blockly (just like Code.org, which our students probably have used before) to program various characters. Great for slightly older students. |
Code.org's Code Studio
Great for all ages, Code.org is what we use at Great Falls to teach the very basics of coding and programming, to inspire and prepare students for the future. Click the link, choose your level, and try some of our lessons! |
